The major behavioural disciplines that that contribute to the study of organizational behaviour are mentioned and described as bellow:
 1. Psychology
 2. Sociology
 3. Social psychology
 4. Anthropology
 5. Political science
 6. Economics

 1. Psychology

The study of human beings or animals in other words the study of heart or mind is known as psychology. The area that may be contributed are perception, learning, motivation, job satisfaction, etc. It also studies about soul or spirits.

 2. Sociology

In a simple term, sociology is a discipline that studies about society. In other words, it can be defined as a academic discipline which utilizes scientific method to accumulate knowledge about the social behavior of human beings. It assumes that organizations are plural society and part of social system where individuals play different roles by holding different authorities. It studies about group level of the organization. The communication systems, roles, status, power, formal organization structure, organizational theory, organizational technology, etc. has been taken from sociology in the organizational behavior.

 3. Social psychology

The social psychology blends the concept of both psychology and sociology. It studies about interaction and interdependence but in people and in pack on their behavior. In other words, the social psychology studies about how the physical presence, imagine presence or implied presence of others impact individuals behavior in the organization. It focuses on change this means, it focuses on behavioural changes, attitude changes on human behavior. It studies about individual level and group level. The major topics drawn from social psychology in organizational behavior are attitude change, behavioral change, patterns of communication, etc.

 4. Anthropology

Anthropology is a science which studies about human beings in other words, it can be defined as a discipline that studies the impact of environment on the human development stage. It studies about human civilization, biological characteristics, forms of culture and impact on human development abolition process, relationship between speech and language. The major topics drawn from anthropology of an organizational behavior are organizational culture, cross culture communication, value system, sentiments, cohesion, etc. It studies at group level and organizational level of human behavior.

 5. Political science

Politics refers to the gain and use of power. So, political science is concerned with the study of how to gain and use power. It studies human behavior in political environment. Business organization are increasing, participating in political activities so, the understanding the concept of political science is becoming an important area to study of organizational behavior. The political science studies human behavior at group level and organizational level. Power, politics, conflict, leadership, etc. are taken from political science in organizational behavior.

 6. Economics

Economics is the science that studies about production, distribution and consumption of goods or services. It studies about the allocation of scarce resources effectively. It studies the human behavior at organizational level. Decision making, allocation of resources, etc. are taken from economics in organizational behavior.

Beside this there are other many disciplines such as jurisprudence, ergonomics, cybernetics, industrial psychology, etc. have made significant contribution for the effective study of organizational behavior.
